Observations_e64 – Mike Lawrence

I saw Mike Lawrence at one of the first alternative comedy shows I went to in Los Angeles. Dave Foley actually took me to a show called Sleepaway Camp to see a comic he thought was really great named Matt Braunger. Mike Lawrence was in town from NYC and doing a spot at the show and the way he broke the fourth wall in terms of moving into the audience and the way he was able to control the room really impressed me. It took a year, but I finally caught him while he was in L.A. so we could talk about just about everything that’s going wrong in the culture. Some comedians are shy or serious off stage, but Mike is one of those that is always kind of working the room and he was in this conversation too.
